A MISCONCEPTION

For weeks now we have been admonishing all of you to “Buy American Made Products”, “Buy local”, “Buy from small businesses”, and “Keep the money local”…not only for the Holiday Season, but from now on.  Oddly, the feedback that we’ve received from these posts has pointed out what appears to be a common misconception about our Alphagraphics Business Center that we never realized before.
Many of our readers mistakenly think we are just a branch store…owned and operated by a large multinational corporation.  This is absolutely NOT TRUE!!
Alphagraphics in Albuquerque is an independently owned franchise, as are all Alphagraphics Business Centers around the world.  We are a woman-owned business, and the owners, Melanie and Kent Cravens are lifelong residents of Albuquerque.  In fact, Kent is a former 3-term member of the NM State Senate.
For the last 20 years, this Alphagraphics Business Center has been providing local jobs, buying from local suppliers, contributing to local charities, paying local taxes and spending its profits locally.  We are, in fact, the epitome of the “local small business” we have been blogging about.
We certainly hope this clears up any misconceptions that might have been lingering out there.  We are a local small business and we appreciate your patronage!!
