PRINTING METHODS
We have the ability to produce beautiful and precise color prints by using a variety of printing methods.
Our machines will each translate color in different ways, so in order to get the most accurate color, it is best to adjust your color settings into CMYK. Don’t worry, our team is capable of doing this for you if you aren’t sure how.
AlphaGraphics has trained prepress experts that will manage the file colors to get you the most accurate and vivid colors possible.
- Digital Printing: This is the most widely used method because we can print almost all projects this way, quickly and efficiently. Digital printing, also known as process colors or CMYK, incorporates the use of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black to produce a wide color range on the paper or substrate.
- Spot Color: These digital presses can print pre-mixed colors, or “spot colors” which provides the most accurate color match for smaller projects such as business cards and envelopes.
- Offset Printing: These presses typically use oil-based inks that require time to dry. Our Pantone color matching system ensures very precise color control. This kind of color accuracy is important for fine detailed documents like logos on business cards, envelopes or letterheads.
- Large Format Printing: Typically, these use inkjet technology with inks that can be aqueous, UV, latex or solvent based. Many of these machines can run 7, or even an 8-color process to achieve a higher quality image with an even wider range of color than that of a traditional 4-color process.
