OFFSET PRINTING IN WOBURN, MA

For over four decades AlphaGraphics has been exceeding expectations with high-quality offset printing technology. Whether you are looking for spot color printing or CMYK process color printing your local Woburn offset printing specialists are here to help.

SPOT COLOR PRINTING

One reason a lot of people are looking for an offset printing company like us is when they want the quality and control of spot colors using the Pantone Matching System. Some of these colors are difficult to match using process colors so people prefer the look and finish of spot color printing on the offset press.

Another reason for spot color printing is to save money on larger runs of flyers, brochures, newsletters, envelopes, and other items that only have one or two colors in the design. Depending on the press and the size of the run this offset printing method can sometimes save a lot of money.

4-COLOR PROCESS PRINTING

Full-color printing is achieved using process colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK). Most digital color presses use these colors, and many offset printing presses use these colors as well because a wide gamut of colors can be printed using just these four colors. They are printed in different densities and patterns and are laid over top of one another to trick our eyes into seeing a wide range of colors.

Four color offset printing is common on digital presses and on offset presses. With today’s technology the quality of the image printed using either method is considered high-quality, and there is little difference between the two. When examined closely, the quality from an offset press can be a little nicer than a digital press. The more important consideration is usually run length and budget.

Offset printing is typically better for longer runs, and digital printing is usually better for shorter runs. There are many factors involved, and our offset printing experts at AlphaGraphics of Woburn are here to help you find the solution that fits you best.
