Three Benefits of a Designer in a Printshop

desk-931928_1280 Uh-oh. You're short a designer. And you need your project printed next week (or even better, by the end of this week).  You're looking high and low, but either others just can't fit it in their schedule, or you can't fit their budget.  And Microsoft Word just isn't going to cut it for this job. But there's hope! Chances are there's a little secret hiding in your print shop.  They have a graphic designer. And when it comes to needing your stuff printed in a hurry, there is usually few better suited to put your stuff together.

1. Industry Expert

If there's a designer in your print shop, you're in good hands, because it's likely that it's also their job that all print goes through their hands. A designer in a print shop understands the machines humming in their workspace. They know how to get those colors just right and how it needs to be prepared for print. They've likely also seen plenty of your materials and have taken time to understand your brand, or if you've been lacking a designer and need some direction, might see ways to improve it.  Having that close communication under one roof only helps create a stronger marketing strategy for your business.

2. Saving Time

While we're talking about things being under one roof, that means there's less time transferring designs to you, and then you transferring designs to your printer.  If there's a typo or issue with the file, the game of hot potato continues, and the clock keeps ticking. With a designer knowing the bread 'n' butter is in the printing to keep the shop moving, they see that deadline better than anyone. They understand how much time is needed for production and shipping.  Brochures done by Friday? The designer's probably thinking, "Gotta have it approved Wednesday."

3. Saving Money

With an expert working for your printer and designing your prints in a timely manner, the overhead goes down. Just like any business, buying the bundle often is a better deal than buying everything separate. Which can lead to a bonus benefit:

Saving Stress!

Knowing you've got a single point of contact just makes life easier, doesn't it? And chances are, that designer is checking the details of their final result to make sure you're getting professional prints. So not to worry, they've got this covered.  Let us know if you're caught in a creative corner.  We can help you out.
