In keeping with our commitment to sustainable business practices, we took the Sustainable Systems at Work course, developed by Portland's Northwest Earth Institute. It's goal is to create a framework to help employees engage in the sustainability discussion in the workplace.  Becoming FSC certified is just one of the steps AlphaGraphics Portland has already taken.

I just adopted my new kitty, Sheba, from the Oregon Humane Society.  OHS is recognized as one of the premier pet adoption and rescue operations in the United States.  A team from OHS rescued many of the stranded animals during Hurricane Katrina, among their other achievements.

One of our customers, Laura, was recently awarded the Top Volunteer Award at the Oregon Humane Society for the tireless love she gives as a kitty foster mom.

This month, I am encouraging you to have a howlin' good time and help pets in need at their  Annual Doggie Dash.
Come with or without your dog (or other leashable pet, like a ferret or bunnie) on May 12 along the Waterfront.  Several of our customers will be there and no doubt, many of your neighbors. 

Sheba is an indoor kitty, but she will be cheering on the sidelines from her perch in the tv room.
