Executive Chairman, Board of Directors
Ms. Burke has fostered growth and improved operations in many companies, and our team is pleased to benefit from her extensive management experience. She was elected to serve as the Chairman of our Board of Directors in January 2013, and was named as Executive Chairman in April of 2014 and, in addition, served as Interim President from August 2014 until February 2015.
Ms. Burke began her career as a national-level private practice attorney. In 2007 Gay became the Chairman and Interim CEO of Houston Harvest, Inc., stabilizing and restructuring that business and positioning the company for significant growth. She also acted as the Founder and Managing Director of NP Denver, LLC, an owner of fast-food franchises, from July 2010 to November 2012. From 1993 to 2005, Ms. Burke was the key executive at the seasonal consumer products company, Pumpkin Masters, leading the Company from founder ownership to private equity ownership and then to strategic ownership ten years later. Ms. Burke received her J.D. with Distinction from the University of Nebraska and her B.S. in Interpersonal Communications from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Mr. Grohs joined AlphaGraphics in February of 2015 as a veteran in the commercial printing industry, bringing us 15 years of distinguished executive operations, sales, and marketing leadership in print and marketing communications.
For the past 11 years he served as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Consolidated Graphics, one of the print industry’s leading sheetfed digital print and technology companies. During much of his tenure there, Mr. Grohs also served as a Group Vice President, where he provided executive operational leadership to eight local manufacturing companies. Prior to this, he served as President of Mercury Printing in Memphis, TN, where he led a successful sales and operational turnaround of this local print, fulfillment, and technology center and positioned the company as a leading solution provider. He began his career in the print industry as an Account Executive for Automated Graphic Systems in White Plains, Maryland. Mr. Grohs received his BBA from Marquette University.
Tommy E. Auger
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Auger joined AlphaGraphics as our Chief Financial Officer in April 2011 and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Since February 2013, Mr. Auger also has been responsible for all legal and compliance matters. From August 2010 until February 2012, Mr. Auger served as a chief financial officer consultant with Advanced CFO Solutions in Salt Lake City, Utah. From August 2008 until August 2010, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Red Ledges Land Development, Inc. in Heber City, Utah. From September 2004 until August 2008, Mr. Auger was the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Talisker Corporation in Park City, Utah. He loves to work with people and help them to develop goals, objectives and strategies which will assist both individuals and companies in maximizing value. He graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Master’s of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Outside of work, he loves to spend time with his wife and children and participating in and watching sporting events.
Dave Buzza, CFE, DMA
Chief Development Officer
Since July 2013, Mr. Buzza has served as our Chief Development Officer. His responsibilities include leading the Franchise Development team, Acquisitions team, and New Franchisee Support teams. Prior to that Mr. Buzza acted as our Vice President, Global Development, beginning in January 2012. He served as our National Director of Franchise from April 2011 to January 2012 and our Regional Director of Franchise Development from January 2008 to April 2011. Prior to his engagement with AlphaGraphics, Mr. Buzza was the V.P. of Business Development with the ICED Franchise Network from 2004-2007. From 1994 to 2004 Mr. Buzza owned and operated a Kwik Kopy Franchise in Nashville, TN, that ranked in the top 20 worldwide. Mr. Buzza holds dual degrees in Marketing and Human Resource Management. He also earned his Certified Franchise Executive designation as well as his Direct Marketing Professional certification in 2012.
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Farris comes to AlphaGraphics with over 15 years of print experience with roles in operations, sales, and print-related technology, including Ecommerce, management information systems (MIS) and cross-media solutions.
Mr. Farris worked at EarthColor as President of their web-to-print and digital operations division. Prior to that, he had a long career with Consolidated Graphics where he served in a series of challenging roles in operations, sales, and technology management. Mr. Farris was President of CGXSolutions responsible for Consolidated Graphics’ customer facing technology, servicing and managing over 300 Ecommerce solutions. Prior to that, he owned and operated a small web design company.
He holds a degree with a double major in Finance and Economics from Texas Tech University and serves as an Advisory Board Member role with the University of Houston Digital Media Program.
VP Franchise Relations
Mr. Lensch joined AlphaGraphics in September of 2013, bringing with him 25 years of franchise support and leadership experience. Mr. Lensch has supported the sales, operations, training, marketing and financial management aspects for franchise systems in both field and executive positions.
Mr. Lensch started his franchise support career in the food business. He then transitioned to signs and graphics, spending a majority of his career with FASTSIGNS International. While there he started as a Business Consultant to individual franchisees and ultimately became Vice President of Franchise Services, responsible for the support of franchisees in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. Prior to joining AlphaGraphics Mr. Lensch worked for Batteries Plus as Director of Field Operations. While at AlphaGraphics, he has helped lead the agSigns initiative as well as managed the Sales Support Team. Mr. Lensch graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, IA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. He has also completed the Certified Franchise Executive program.
Ms. Gillies joined AlphaGraphics in July of 2016 with many years of experience developing strategy and executing B2B, B2C, and franchise marketing programs. Ms. Gillies has an extensive background delivering marketing campaigns, digital strategy, brand development, mobile and social marketing, customer acquisition, and lead generation. In addition, Pam has served as a senior-level executive in various franchise businesses, including print, laser eye and skin care, and business advisory board services.
Prior to joining AlphaGraphics, Pam was Senior Group Director of Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy for Crain Communications in Detroit, MI, where she was responsible for marketing programs, digital operations and strategy, audience development and events. While at Crain, Pam led an integrated marketing team and delivered new marketing strategies to drive lead generation and revenues. Pam earned her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Colorado State University. Her education also includes a certificate in project management from Stanford University.
