Which Materials should I use?
The Arizona sun presents a unique challenge for outdoor signs. But at AlphaGraphics Camelback, we have many years of experience and can produce top-notch signage for both indoor and outdoor use. We offer many options to choose from, including foam core (1/4", 3/16", 1/2" and 1" thickness), Gator or Ultra board, canvas, metal composites, brushed aluminum, colorplast (ribbed outdoor plastic), Sintra and poly plastic backers, wood, acrylic and many more. Some of these are perfect for lamination or UV protection, or even laminate that can be used for dry erase applications.
Can you customize the sign shape?
Most signs you see are rectangular, square, or circular in nature. More and more signs are custom shaped and router or contour cut into many unique and interesting shapes. Our Zund computerized router can take almost any vector outline or graphic and "trace" the unique shape of your logo, graphic, or custom design. Think outside the box, literally. Just remember, a vector outline or shape is required. If you only have a bitmap or JPEG graphic, we may need to have one of our graphic designers create a vector outline from your image for a small fee. What are the usual sizes and printing options?
The most common yard signs are 24" wide x 18" tall supported with a quality metal "H" stake. We can print them on one side or two sides, your choice. Larger yard signs are also available (20" x 30" and 24" x 36" to name a few!) or a 4-mm corrugated outdoor plastic board (commonly called coroplast).
