Trade Shows & Events

Orlando is one of the busiest convention markets in the country. Between the Orange County Convention Center, the resort ballrooms along International Drive, and the steady run of regional expos and association meetings, there is almost always a show happening somewhere in Central Florida. That is good news if you exhibit. It also means your booth is competing with hundreds of others for a few seconds of attention from someone walking a crowded aisle.
Good trade show signs close that gap. They tell a passerby who you are and what you do before anyone on your team says a word. Below is a practical guide to ordering trade show signs in Orlando, organized the way most exhibitors actually plan: by booth size, by material, and by deadline.
Before you choose graphics, look at your floor plan. The size of your space determines what will fit, what will look crowded, and where attendees will be standing when they read your message.
The most common starting point. You have one back wall, roughly eight feet of usable height, and a table. A typical setup is a fabric backdrop or pop-up display behind you, one or two retractable banner stands at the corners, and a printed table throw. That is usually enough. Adding a fourth or fifth graphic to a 10 x 10 tends to make the space feel busy rather than impressive.
Twice the back wall gives you room to separate messages. Many exhibitors use one half for brand and one half for a product or offer, with a demo area or seating in between. This is also the size where a larger seamless fabric backdrop starts to pay off visually compared to two smaller panels pushed together.
An island booth is visible from four directions, so your signage needs to read from every angle. Hanging signs and tall tower structures become important here because they carry your name above the floor clutter. Check your show's exhibitor kit first, since height limits and hanging sign rules vary by venue and by show.
Most successful booths are built from the same handful of pieces. You do not need all of them, but you should know what each one does.
You can see the full range of exhibit pieces on our trade show signs and displays page, and if you would rather order a coordinated set than piece it together, our trade show bundles group the common items together.
This question comes up on nearly every trade show order.
Fabric is the better choice if you travel to multiple shows a year. Dye sublimated fabric graphics fold into a soft case, resist creasing, are lighter for shipping, and can often be laundered. Fabric also has a matte finish that does not fight with overhead convention hall lighting, which matters more than most people expect once you are standing under it.
Vinyl is the better choice when you need rigidity, high contrast, or outdoor durability. If part of your event happens outside, which is common with Orlando venues that use courtyards and pool decks, vinyl banners with hems and grommets will handle wind and sun far better than fabric. Mesh vinyl is worth considering for anything hung outdoors where wind is a factor.
Many exhibitors end up with both: fabric for the back wall and table, vinyl for outdoor or high-wear pieces. For larger printed pieces of either material, see our large format printing options.
The most common mistake we see is treating the first day of the show as the deadline. It is not. Work backward from these instead:
Add those up and most exhibitors should start their signage conversation several weeks out. If you are already inside that window, call us anyway. We are a local production shop rather than an online order form, and there is often more room to move than you would think.
A backdrop or pop-up display, one or two retractable banner stands, and a printed table throw will cover a standard 10 x 10 well. Add printed takeaways such as brochures or cards for visitors who want to follow up later.
Yes, and you should design for it. Keep show names, dates, and time limited offers off the permanent pieces, then use one inexpensive banner stand or sign for the message that changes show to show.
Yes. We produce signage for conventions, expos, and corporate events throughout the Orlando area. See our convention printing and signage page for details.
Printed leave behinds still work. A brochure or one page overview gives visitors something to carry out with them. See brochures and booklets.
