Savvy captured the "Best Booth" award at the VRMA conference by executing a high-impact, immersive "Back to the Future" theme that proved standout event marketing can be achieved on a strict budget. By strategically combining cost-effective display technologies with iconic cinematic nostalgia, the project transformed a standard footprint into an award-winning experiential space that drew attendees straight into the brand's narrative.
Key Design & Structural Elements
Double-Sided SEG Display Walls: Lightweight, tension-fabric Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG) provided seamless, edge-to-edge cinematic backdrops. The walls created an immersive environment featuring vivid lightning and courthouse graphics on the front, while the double-sided capability allowed the reverse side to showcase the intricate, moody interior mechanics of a clock tower. This maximized visual real estate without requiring heavy, expensive custom fabrication.
The strategic use of SEG tension fabric, custom 2D cut-outs, and slip-on pillowcase banners delivered a rich, dimensional feel while keeping shipping, drayage, and material costs incredibly low. The resulting design disrupted the VRMA floor, capturing attendee attention, maximizing ROI, and ultimately taking home the event's top design honors.
