Graphic Designer Job Brief
We are looking for a creative Graphic Designer with up-to-date knowledge of design principles and software to interpret our client’s needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. This individual will work on a variety of products, including books, brochures, flyers, stationary, greeting cards/invites, signs, vehicle wraps, product packaging, exhibitions, corporate identity, with the possibility of working on websites, and other digital marketing, etc. AlphaGraphics’ graphic designers understand very well how to design for multiple Medias and so this job will give the individual a great understanding of both print and digital design. The individual will also cooperate with our designers and sales team.
Responsibilities
- meeting clients or account managers to discuss the project objectives and requirements of the design;
- estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients;
- developing design proofs that suit the client's needs;
- thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
- presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
- setting up jobs for a range of equipment, including flatbed printers and cutters, vinyl cutters and digital/offset printers to prepare the job for pre-press;
- proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
- working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.
Requirements
- Proven graphic designing experience
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.)
- Highly proficient in all design aspects
- Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
