Common Questions:
Q: What is Direct-To-Film printing?
A: DTF is a full color process of printing on textiles. Inks are printed in Full Color + White onto film, coated with adhesive on the back, and then applied using heat to the textile.
Q: What type of shirts can I use with this?
A: Almost all apparel can be imprinted with Direct-to-Film. Heat-sensitive fabrics, like thin polyester or treated fabrics cannot be used with this method, however there are other customization options that can be used on these fabrics - our experienced team will help you determine which is best for your needs!
Q: Can we use dark colors with DTF?
A: Yes! AlphaGraphics of the Palm Beaches is proud to offer 5 color printing (CMYK + White). The white ink allows production with bright colors, and full color process on a dark shirt. We can also print white-only with this process.
Q: How much more is it per color on my shirt?
A: DTF is priced on the size of the artwork you are putting on your apparel and number of locations, rather than the number of colors- so our team can make your design as colorful and intricate as you like!
