About Sustainability at AlphaGraphics of Buckhead

Recycling sustainability at AlphaGraphics of Buckhead
  • All printing plates are made from aluminum, copper, or brass and we recycling and reuse every one of them.
  • Every paper scrap is tossed in one of the (many) recycling bins we haev around the building. We are a printing business, and understandably use a lot of paper, but all scraps and unusable products get recycled.
  • All of our paper products have the option of being made from recycled paper.
  • We use recycled dense black ink, and all of our other inks are 100% plant oil based.
  • We pack our shipped products using biodegradable packaging peanuts or recycled/reused paper. We also try to reuse boxes for shipping whenever we can.
  • We offer many brands like Mohawk, Cranes, French, and Neenah. Some of these companies recycle their scraps from one batch of paper into the next paper batch, and have their own hydro-electricity mill.

4 Ways to Grow a Greener Business

  1. Choose Eco-Friendly Signs: Signage helps your brand stand out, but it doesn't have to be wasteful. Ask about options that are recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable.
  2. Print on Recycled Paper: When looking to print your marketing materials, remember there are lots of options for paper that are more environmentally friendly than others.
  3. Supply Your Staff with Reusable Items: Cut back on paper cups, plastic bottles, groccery bags, and cheap ink pens. By getting reusable water bottles, sustainable ink pens, and reusable shopping bags all branded for your entire team, you will make your company just that much closer to being net zero. These also make great welcome gifts for new employees!
  4. Recycled! We know you've heard this before, but how often are you throwing glass or plastic into the trash instead of a recycling bin? Look into your community's recycling programs and see how your business can partner with them.

Going Green is Good for Business

59% of respondents said they feel better about their waste habits when they purchase something made from recycled materials.

When it comes to paper communications, recycled paper is the greenest option, it uses less energy, water, and produces lower  carbon emissions than the manufacturing of non-recycled paper and at the same time reduces the amount of waste to landfill -  as paper can be recycled 4 to 5 times.
