Expand Your Horizons with Large Format

Can we print it? Yes, we can!

When you think of a printing company like AlphaGraphics South Charlotte, what do you envision that we produce? For years, we’ve been printing brochures, booklets, business cards, envelopes, cards & invitations, and newsletters & flyers.  And while we still do all of those things, the addition of AG Signs has allowed our large format printing capabilities to expand to new heights! Thanks to our state-of-the-art large format printers, we can print banners, posters, and signage in a multitude of substrates and sizes. So, what is large format printing? Large Format refers to printing on larger sized substrates than most commercial printing presses can allow, usually 18 inches and wider.  Here at AlphaGraphics, we currently use two printers to fulfill our large format needs: our EFI H1625 LED flatbed printer and our HP Latex 310 printer.

efi H1625 LED (Flatbed Printer)

How it works: Using inkjet technology, the efi H1625 LED flatbed printer prints standard 4-color (CMYK) plus white.  This printer provides a greener solution, as it doesn’t consume as much energy as a standard printer, nor does it have as much waste.  Its LED curing technology allows the final product to be dry almost immediately after the ink touches the substrate. Max Size: Up to 64” wide Prints on: flexible or rigid substrates, like: foam core, ultra-board, gator board, PVC, dibond, coroplast, vinyl and more. Examples of Work from efi H1625 LED: 24” x 36” prints on ½” Gatorboard (ITC Millwork) Router cut 41” x 41” coroplast signs (Charlotte Eagles) Vinyl decals for NASCAR RaceHub set (Fox Sports 1)

HP Latex 310

How it works: The HP Latex 310 prints primarily on rolls.  A versatile, but high-quality printer, the HP uses 6 colors, plus an optimizer and can print up to 1,200 DPI (dots per inch).  The HP ink uses a latex formulation, which allows for optimal durability for signage used outdoors. Max Size: Up to 54” wide Prints on: Rolls of paper for posters, vinyl for stickers, decals, wall, window & vehicle wraps   Examples of Work from HP Latex 310: Vehicle wrap printed on 3M Controltac 40C Vinyl (Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte) 8.5’ x 29’ custom wall graphic, printed on 3M 40C semigloss vinyl (The Core Training) Window graphics, printed on 3M semigloss vinyl (Firethorne Country Club) For more information on how you can bring your print, marketing, or design ideas to life, contact AlphaGraphics South Charlotte today at 704-849-9292.
