Join us to celebrate the spirit of the season on December 6
Mark your calendar and plan to join us to celebrate the giving spirit this holiday season at our tenth annual Toys for Tots party! We’ll be hosting the party on Thursday, December 6 in our new location, 165 Hansen Court, Suite 111 in Wood Dale. We moved just after the holidays last year, so be sure to visit our new space if you haven’t yet. The fun takes place from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Friends, colleagues, and family—including children and grandchildren—are welcome this year, as always. Santa is going to be here for photo ops with the kids (and selfies with you, of course). We’ll also have holiday crafts for the kids as well as holiday refreshments. In addition to your holiday spirit, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Since 2008, we’ve partnered with Toys for Tots and the US Marine Corps Reserve to help make the season merry for families. The annual Toys for Tots program collects toys for children whose families may be struggling to make ends meet.
Over 60 years of delivering Christmas cheer
Since 1947 when reservist Major Bill Hendricks established the Toys for Tots program in California, the annual program has collected millions of toys for children. New, unwrapped toys are collected from October through mid-December. The toys are distributed as gifts to children in our communities.
DuPage County Toys for Tots
Each year, because of your generosity, we collect more than 500 toys. In the 10 years we’ve partnered with DuPage County’s Toys for Tots program, more than 55,000 toys have been collected. Those toys have been distributed by more than 50 area nonprofit agencies to more than 26,000 area children. Now that’s the holiday spirit.
Collecting new, unwrapped toys through December 6
For those wishing to participate in this year’s drive, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages through Thursday, December 6. Store—and collection—hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Fridays 8:00 – 5:00 pm. You’re welcome to contribute even if you can’t join us for the party.
