AlphaGraphics South Charlotte | Ballantyne Wins National Project of the Year Award

AlphaGraphics, Inc., a global leader in print, marketing, signage and technology solutions, announced that AlphaGraphics South Charlotte | Ballantyne has been recognized with the 2019 Project of the Year Award. The award was presented on July 20th at the company’s annual conference held at The Westin in Indianapolis. AlphaGraphics South Charlotte | Ballantyne worked with Los Angeles-based agency, Crown+Conquer, to bring to life some large-scale projects during the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte, NC. "Our center had been eager to take on a large format job of this size for a while, so when the time came for it to finally happen, we felt fully prepared and ready for the challenge," said center owner Rich Schepler. The AG South Charlotte | Ballantyne team were responsible for the printing, finishing, installation & removal of all graphics for three events around the city of Charlotte in just a 24-hour period. In all, 150 printed pieces were created, including over 50 banners and signs. Part one of the project involved transforming a Charlotte eatery into Carbone NYC for the evening, featuring an elaborate multi-course meal prepared by celebrity chef, Mario Carbone. "From a technical standpoint, there was no margin for error. We had several pieces of signage that had to fit exactly inside frames of very expensive pieces of art. A lot of care & precision from our team ensured a seamless installation”, according to Director of Operations, Rich Schepler Jr. The second project, and by far the largest of the three, involved a total revamp of a local Dave & Buster's to help launch Sprite's new soda, Sprite Lymonade. With a team of eight to install over 1,750 square feet of material, the AG team had just four hours to transform Dave & Buster's into the Sprite Lymonade Arcade. The arcade welcomed the public to enjoy complimentary games and sample the new Sprite Lymonade. Fans also had the opportunity to meet current and former NFL and NBA players. The third and final event was a dinner party for Klutch Sports, the sports agency representing NBA stars Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons & Myles Bridges. More signage and vinyl decals were created to help customize 5Church in Uptown Charlotte. The event included a star-studded guest list of Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Kendall Jenner, Carolina Panthers star Luke Kuechly and rappers, Meek Mill, J. Cole & Quavo.   Both AlphaGraphics South Charlotte and AlphaGraphics Ballantyne are owned and operated by Rich and Jennifer Schepler and their team of talented employees.
