Mobile Marketing - QR Codes

Mobile Marketing - QR Codes Whether you are a marketing expert or not, you have probably seen those things some weird barcodes that appear to be alien images cut out in a big corn crop.  That image you see is called a QR Code.  QR stands for quick response.  QR Codes allow your customers more immediate access to meaningful data.  This gives you the ability to track the results of how many individuals are scanning the QR code.  It also gives you the ability to identify what is working well and your areas of opportunity, more quickly and more consistent.  QR Codes are quickly catching on.  There has been a 1200% increase in QR Code scanning between July 2010 and December 2010. (Source: JumpScan 2011) It's important to remember that consumers want immediate access to your products or services.  When you scan or read a QR code with your iPhone, Android or other camera-enabled Smartphone, you can link to digital content on the web; activate a number of phone functions including email, IM and SMS; and give someone your contact information. You can alternate special offers by simply linking your QR codes to new landing pages. You can also link to mobile websites and mobile apps through a QR code. There is no limit to how or even how much you can share with QR codes.  While a video or landing page is easily shared, you can also go even further and share an entire eBook and even multiple pieces of content that share an entire link.
