PMS Color Nerds!

We love PMS Colors!  What are PMS colors?  PMS stands for the Pantone Matching System.  This system allows for consistency in colors that grant us the ability to match the color that you have in mind when designing or creating a project.  When printing with either CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) or RGB (red, green and blue) there is room for variance between the computer and the printer. For instance, if you are looking at a CMYK color value on your computer screen, that color you are seeing is actually RGB, because the pixels on a computer screen only use red, green and blue to produce an image.  The conversion from RGB to CMYK can produce undesirable results.

To ensure that your finished artwork is correct, please don’t hesitate to ask your AlphaGraphics representative for a hardcopy proof before moving forward with a project.
