Custom Envelope and Stationery Project
The customer for this project ordered highly customized envelopes, letterheads, and business cards with multiple names. We had our work cut out for ourselves as this project was going to require a lot of planning and extra attention to detail—any mistakes could cost a lot of money and unnecessary delays.
We first started with the stationery that needed a two-part printing process. We used thermograph printing with a specific Pantone color that was engraved. The challenge was to plan this job in such a way that the die plate was being made to take advantage of that 3-5 day wait it takes in production to create the mold.
It was a juggling act as we simultaneously worked on proofs, ordering special paper, and coordinating with our two printers at the same time. We also had to ensure that we had sufficient stock for each process so that we wound up with the correct requested quantities. The engraving process was the final step—and took the longest amount of time to complete. Once finished, we sent everything over to our thermography department to start the final print process.
In the end, we successfully completed the project without any delays, hiccups, or errors. Our client was extremely happy, and the images of the final product speak for themselves.
